Friday :
Day was cool and inspiring... was waiting very long for someone to talk abt sch culture... all hail Dennis Yeo! Kept worrying abt toastmasters held on Sat.
Saturday :
Woke up late... kept worrying that it starts at 6. After throughing analysis...thought previous speech won't work out...scrapped it.
11.30 to 3.00 : Slacked.
3.00 to 3.30 : Lunch ( It was horrible... !!!! Argh the lingering taste on my tongue made me Nauseous )
3.30 to 4.15 : Focused on speech content... Brainstormed...
4.15 to 4.30 : Dressed up really formally...muahahaha i look good in long sleeves,pants,leather shoes and blazer ! ) Ego!
4.30 to 5.30 : Journey to Chinatown ... Organised my speech throughout the entire trip...!
5.30 to 6 : Met friend ( and fellow competitor) at Chinatown MRT station. Combed the entire place for Furama Hotel... From far we thought Furama City Square was NOT furama Hotel... only to our disdain that it WAS after circling Chinatown.
6 to 7 : We Draw lots on who got to go first... practiced our speeches... had a choice between Headset, free-hold mike or mike stand... i thought i was used to the free-hold so use something i was familiar with. ^_^
7 to 8 : Guest of honor Associate Prof Low ... MP of CCk? couldn't remember... the entire CCK club was there... past 10 presidents of the club were there also...
8 onwards : Couldn't eat much... urgh...frightened abit... so many important ppl there... Members of the other clubs were there also...We were seated at a table with South View Pri Sch Teachers... so we all sian diao at first.
After the primary sch section was the JC category... I was the last to speak... ( Save the best for the last mah :P )
Whew... my speech i had to impromptu a few things cause i couldn't remember some of my stuff.
When it was done the south view teachers at our table said i did really well... ^_^
AMAZINGLY... five minutes later the results were out... we were shocked too...dammm fast. :P
Muahaha i was dammm tense lar ... then when it came to the champion and the Emcee read out my name I was like WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! muahahahaha !!!!!!!!!
The South View teachers asked me if i 'expected it'... i dunnoe how to answer :P so just um chio..
A nice trophy imported from the US toastmasters club. ^_^ rare edition.

The current President and past presidents came to comment on how they liked my speech and how it was very good... muhahahahah !CLoud 9!
Then other clubs tried to draw me to their own Club...muahahha! Wah the feeling of being headhunted.
in the end the prizes didn't really matter...cause their praises actually make me feel on top of the game and i believe it is a stepping stone for future improvement. ^_^
In the end Jaryl's( a debater cum competitor) Aunt who coincidently is a South View pri sch Teacher, offered to send me back in a cab. muahahha thanks Jaryl's Aunt!
By the Way... it was damm intellectual lar the Whole meeting... we had Tower Cocktail and we toasted to the clubs... it was also a passing out ceremony for some Exco members in toastmasters. ^_^
Hope i could enter more of these competitions. ^_^
